Microneedling is a minimally invasive form of collagen induction therapy that creates little tears in your skin that forces your skin to heal.
Microneedling can significantly reduce and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks.
It’s best to not wear makeup to your appointment that way your tech can see your skin clearly and is able to create a treatment plan catered to your skin’s needs.
The procedure takes 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the area treated and how long it takes for your skin to react to the numbing cream.
Photo aging is the sun doing damage to your skin over time and from lack of sunscreen when being out.
Immediately after the treatment you will notice redness and a tightening feeling of the skin. The total healing time depends on settings that are used and the number of overlapping passes your tech performs. Patients are red for up to 2 to 5 days and may be a little tender to the touch.
Some people only need a single treatment but for most that’s not the case. We recommended that most patients receive a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-8 weeks apart. For those with deeper wrinkles, intense photo aging, stretch marks or acne scars we recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4-6 weeks apart.
